Having lived and traveled in Southeast Asia for more than a decade, my wife Simone and I finally ventured to more distant shores with a trip to Sri Lanka in May 2011.
I’d heard stories of legendary rides in Sri Lanka but nothing could have prepared me for the experience we had.
I was so inspired by the country that before we even departed I had designed the itinerary for
Sri Lankan Grand Loop.
The 14-day ride blends a bit of everything Sri Lanka has to offer-ancient temples, exotic wildlife safaris, spectacular scenery, whitewater rafting – all the while staying in some of the country’s best hotels.
